Nordic IT PMO, Project Controlling, and IT Business Finance Manager
Europæiske Rejseforsikring – a subsidiary of ERGO Nordics - are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nordic IT PMO, Project Controlling, and IT Business Finance Manager to join our team in Copenhagen, Vesterbro.
The Opportunity
This role is pivotal in supporting ERGO Nordics’ ambitious growth in the region while aligning with the global standards of the Munich Re Group. You will play a key role in driving IT project excellence, ensuring robust project controlling, and optimizing IT business finance processes within a dynamic, multinational, matrixed IT function.

Key Responsibilities
- IT Project Management Office (PMO): Establish and maintain standardized PMO processes, tools, and methodologies to ensure efficient project execution across the Nordic IT portfolio. Provide guidance on Agile and Waterfall methodologies, leveraging tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint to support project managers.
- IT Project Controlling: Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with ERGO Nordics’ strategic objectives. Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- IT Business Finance: Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for IT initiatives and intra Group consumption, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with business goals. Collaborate with stakeholders, especially the Nordic Controlling function to provide financial insights and drive value creation within IT.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with international teams within the Groups global matrixed IT function, fostering effective communication and coordination across departments and geographies. Act as a key liaison between Nordic Solution Delivery and the rest of Munich Re Group Technology, as well as towards the Nordic Business PMO and Business Development function.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business leaders, project managers, and finance teams to align IT projects with ERGO Nordics’ growth strategy and Munich Re’s overarching objectives. Deliver clear, actionable reports and presentations to senior management.
- Innovation and Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in PMO and financial processes, leveraging digital tools and best practices to enhance efficiency and scalability in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate Profile
Education:
- Master’s degree in business administration, technology, finance, economics, IT management, or a related field.
Experience:
- Established experience in IT business finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis within IT operations.
- Proven track record in project controlling and/or PMO roles, ideally within complex, multinational organizations with global matrixed IT functions.
- Experience in end-to-end project or portfolio management, with understanding of both Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Demonstrable experience with tools such as Microsoft Office and PowerBI.

- Proactive, results-driven attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business domains.
- Experience working in multinational, matrixed organizations, with a strong understanding of global IT operations.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in a Nordic language (Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, or Finnish) is a plus.
