Role Overview
We a seeking a highly motivated Business Development & Analytics Specialist to support local sales leadership in Denmark while contributing to Nordic commercial initiatives.
In this role, you will combine analytical insight with hands-on execution to support business planning, performance monitoring, commercial decision making, and business controlling within the commercial organization, helping the team turn data into actionable insights and drive results.
The position also provides support to compliance and internal control frameworks, offering guidance and practical input to help the commercial organization operate effectively and in line with requirements. You will collaborate closely with teams across functions, contributing to process improvements, knowledge sharing, and the successful execution of commercial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Analytics (Denmark)
- Conduct in-depth sales, market, and competitor analyses to identify growth opportunities
- Build sales forecasts, track KPIs, and provide actionable insights to support commercial decisions
- Prepare business cases and decision-making materials for new local commercial partnerships/initiatives
Business Development and Market Initiatives (Denmark)
- Develop and implement new commercial concepts in Denmark
- Collaborate with Nordic commercial teams to share best practices and identify synergies
- Support the Sales Director in shaping Danish input for Nordic initiatives
Sales Operations and Performance Tracking (Denmark)
- Monitor Danish market developments and maintain accurate tracking of sales activities and costs
- Support planning, execution, and follow-up of commercial activities within Sales Denmark
Cross-functional Collaboration and Process Improvement (Denmark)
- Collaborate with IT, product, and underwriting teams to support development projects, testing, and solution implementation
- Identify opportunities to optimize processes and automate workflows within the sales organization
- Commercial Strategy Support (Denmark and Nordic)
- Assist the Sales Director Denmark in providing hands-on support for Danish and Nordic commercial strategy initiatives
- Contribute to practical execution, coordination, and follow-up of Danish and Nordic-level strategic projects
- Support workshops, analysis, and reporting needed for Danish and Nordic commercial strategy implementation
Business Controlling Support (Denmark and Nordic)
- Provide hands-on support in business controlling activities across Danish and Nordic commercial operations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis for commercial initiatives
- Prepare management reports and dashboards covering markets, channels, and products in coordination with the Nordic Business Architect
- Support evaluation of business cases and initiatives with practical financial insights
- Ensure Danish and Nordic-level commercial decisions are supported by accurate and actionable data
Compliance and Audit Support (Denmark and Nordic)
- Facilitate the application of compliance frameworks, norms, policies, and guidelines within the Danish and Nordic commercial organization
- Collaborate with local commercial teams, providing guidance on understanding and adhering to compliance requirements, organizational norms, and relevant standards
- Advise on documentation practices and best-practice approaches for maintaining audit trails within commercial units
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to align on compliance and norms standards across the commercial organization
- Support preparation for external audits of the commercial organization by organizing relevant information, documentation, and follow-up input
- Promote knowledge sharing and structured follow-up across Danish and Nordic commercial units to strengthen compliance awareness and alignment with established standards
Other Duties and Ad Hoc Projects
- Take part in ad hoc projects and initiatives related to the commercial, business development, or analytics area, contributing to the overall success of the team
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives, workshops, or special projects as required.
- Adapt to changing business priorities and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
- Solid understanding of commercial operations, business development, sales analytics, and practical business controlling
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and monitoring of commercial performance
- Experience with compliance, internal control, and audit processes
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Proactive, structured, and hands-on approach, able to contribute both strategically and operationally
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and support the Sales Director in Denmark in both local and Nordic initiatives
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Word
- Proficient in business intelligence and analytics tools
- Solid understanding of CRM systems
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting toolsFamiliarity with integration layers and real-time customer experience technologies
